Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers in Scottsdale are a great way to plump up areas of the face that may look “hollow” because of genetics, the aging process, and constant exposure to the sun. All these factors cause collagen loss in the face.
Dermal fillers are a natural way to fill in depleted areas, create a more defined look, and smooth wrinkles. Certain fillers can actually help build collagen, too!

How it works
DERMAL FILlers
Dermal fillers such as Restylane and Juvéderm use a natural substance called hyaluronic acid, which naturally exists in your body. It is a sugar molecule that exists naturally in almost all living organisms. It binds water and can act as a lubricant in your body.
We use hyaluronic acid in the deep layers of your facial tissue, which can help diminish the appearance of wrinkles, as well as add volume to those “hollow” areas.
Radiesse uses other natural substances that also stimulate your body’s collagen production to provide long-lasting results.
FAQs
How should I prepare for dermal fillers?
Before the procedure, we will conduct a thorough consultation to learn more about your medical history and your personal goals. If you’ve had allergic reactions to fillers or injectables in the past, we recommend avoiding this type of treatment. We also recommend postponing treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
After your initial consultation, if we deem you a suitable candidate for dermal fillers, we will proceed with the treatment. Dermal fillers can take as little as 15-30 minutes, often referred to as a ‘lunchtime procedure.’ In the days leading up to treatment, avoid over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications. Supplements like ginseng, garlic, and Vitamin E should also be avoided. Do not consume alcohol on the day of treatment. Immediately after treatment, avoid sun tanning, tanning beds, saunas, and strenuous exercise. Use an ice pack for excess swelling and avoid touching the injection site.
When will I see results?
Because some fillers contain natural components, many patients see results right away! The hyaluronic acid in Juvederm or Restylane, for example, can bring almost immediate results. These results become even more apparent after any swelling has diminished.
How long do fillers last?
While some dermal fillers last six months, others can last up to 2 years or more. Results can vary based on the type of filler, the amount used, and location of the injection.
