Inside Out Aesthetics is excited to offer Ultherapy in Scottsdale.
It is the gold standard for non-invasive lifting and tightening skin. It uses targeted laser therapy to trigger your body’s own response to stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin. Ultherapy is currently the only treatment on the market the FDA has approved to lift the skin of the neck, chin and brow as well as lessen the appearance of lines.
Ultherapy provides proven results in a single treatment for most patients. It can treat your loose skin without surgery, without affecting the surface of your skin, and without downtime. Ultrasound imaging with Ultherapy energy is delivered precisely to the place where you will benefit most, for natural looking results.
Consultation Required
We always start with a consultation for any new patient before beginning a treatment plan. During your consultation, we will review your medical history, listen to your goals, and address questions you have before determining your individual treatment plan. We offer complimentary consultations in our office and online through our virtual consultation tool.
Treatment Duration
Treatment may take anywhere from 1-2 hours or more, depending on the area or areas being treated.
Number of Sessions Needed
Just 1 for most patients.
Downtime
There is no downtime after the procedure although you may be a little red after your treatment. Some patients do have a histamine reaction and may have red scratch-like marks on the treated area that typically resolve in 24 hours. This is a normal response. You may return to normal activity immediately after your Ultherapy treatment.
Your skin might appear flushed at first, but the redness should disappear within a few hours. Some patients experience slight swelling, tingling, or tenderness to the touch, but these are generally mild and temporary in nature.
Other, less common post-procedural effects may include temporary bruising or numbness on small areas of skin.
Duration of Results
Lifting and tightening can usually be seen within 3 months of treatment, with continued improvement for 6 months and beyond. Because results are seen with increased collagen production it is essential to return for your 3-6 month photos to truly gauge results.
Results
The proven results of Ultherapy are clear, appearing in 2-3 months as new collagen works to lift skin on the neck, chin, and brow, as well as smooth skin on the upper chest. Results may improve over the following 3-6 months, and can last a year or more. It won’t duplicate the results of a surgical facelift, but Ultherapy is a clinically proven non-invasive alternative for those not ready for surgery.
If treating areas with dermal filler, we recommend waiting two months post injections to treat that same area with Ultherapy.

Who is a good candidate?
Ultherapy is great for patients who have some skin laxity on their face and or neck. Patients 30 and over, who have mild-to-moderate skin laxity, are generally suitable candidates.
Please let your provider know of about active or past medical history prior to your treatment and any medications you may take, as these may affect your treatment and/or results.
How it works
ULTHERAPY
Ultherapy in Scottsdale relies on ultrasound therapy to go deeper than other non-invasive treatments for collagen stimulation. It leverages traditional ultrasound imaging so Ultherapy providers see the layers of tissue they are treating. This ensures the treatment energy is delivered to where it can benefit you most.
Unlike lasers, radio frequency, surgery, and other technologies, nonsurgical Ultherapy bypasses the surface of the skin through ultrasound energy with focused imaging to target just the right amount, at the right depth, and the right temperature. The result is a jumpstart to your body’s own collagen production.
After cleansing the skin and identifying the specific areas to be treated, we apply a numbing cream to make your procedure more comfortable. An ultrasound is used to measure these areas prior to treatment so the provider can map your facial structure and pinpoint collagen-rich layers for the best treatment response. It also allows providers to offer individualized treatment based on the unique anatomy of your skin and facial structures.
During treatment, you will feel tiny amounts of energy being deposited under the skin, indicating that the collagen-building process has been started. Comfort levels can vary from person to person, but you may experience the sensation of heat and/or tingling while the energy is being delivered.

Is Ultherapy safe?
Ultherapy is a proven treatment with a well-established safety profile. It is currently marketed worldwide in over 75 countries, with over 1.5 million treatments performed globally to date. In addition, ultrasound energy has a proven track record, with use in medicine for over 50 years.
Can Ultherapy replace a facelift?
Ultherapy treats the deep foundational layer addressed in cosmetic surgery, but won’t duplicate the results of a surgical facelift. Ultherapy is a great alternative, however, especially for those not ready for surgery.
How long does it last?
Since the procedure stimulates a person’s own collagen production, how long the results last depends on the individual. While results appear over 2-3 months, they can last up to a year or more. The treatment produces new collagen on the inside, but the individual’s natural aging process will dictate how long that translates into visible results on the outside. Future touch-up treatments can help provide more control over the aging process, which varies by individual.
