For those with hyperpigmentation, and the difficult-to-treat melasma (a dark discoloration of the skin that is difficult to address), there are not a lot of options for eliminating skin discoloration.
Sometimes, lasers cannot treat these areas and may even make the discoloration worse. This is where a VI Peel in Scottsdale comes in!
The VI Peel differs from other peels because it tackles skin problems at the cellular level, rather than just burning skin off as in a regular peel. Thanks to the VI Peel’s blend of acids and vitamins, it is extremely effective in eliminating hyperpigmentation, including melasma. It can help erase fine lines and wrinkles, shrink enlarged pores, and build collagen and elastin to tighten skin.
The VI Peel also provides excellent results for patients with acne. You will notice skin brightening, increased collagen production, skin tightening, and a more even skin tone.
Before any treatment, we start with a consultation with new patients. During this consultation, we will review medical history, listen to treatment goals, and address any questions before determining your individual treatment plan. We offer complimentary consultations in our office and online through our virtual consultation tool.
Number of Sessions Needed
Many of our clients see improvements with one treatment session, however, maximum results are often achieved by scheduling 2 or 3 sessions, 4 weeks apart. Deep wrinkles or scarring may require additional sessions. We will advise you on the best treatment schedule for your individual needs.

We recommend 7-10 days of recovery for our patients. Immediately following the peel, skin may look light yellow, red, or tan. The yellow color is because of the retinoic acid included in the formulation. It is temporary and will fade in minutes. We will provide all needed products, along with detailed instructions after your treatment.
Duration of Results
Results from a VI Peel can last for months, but this does not mean that skin is not susceptible to damage or the aging process. As the skin ages, cell turnover rates and collagen growth diminish, requiring more maintenance treatments
With the VI Peel, you’ll notice brighter skin, increased collagen production, skin tightening, and a more even skin tone.
At Inside Out Aesthetics, we offer the VI Peel to meet the specific needs of our patients.
Those with hyperpigmentation and melasma may find increased benefits with this peels application. VI Peels have many other benefits as well. Those with acne, acne scarring, excessively oily skin sun and UV damage, and fine lines and wrinkles can benefit from a VI Peel in Scottsdale.
How it works
The VI Peel penetrates into the dermis of the skin, working to resurface mild acne scars, sun damage, and signs of aging. Basic peels and facials do not penetrate as deeply as this treatment, making it one of the most effective options available.
VI Peel Purify
VI Peel Purify is the most comprehensive peel for acne and acne scarring.
This advanced acne solution works synergistically to combat active acne symptoms while repairing darker areas of skin.
This peel helps to fade textural scarring and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation that can be caused by acne breakouts. VI Purify Peel reduces P. acne bacteria, comedones, and sebum production in the skin as it unclogs congested pores. It will also help to fade acne scarring and pigmentation while promoting healthy cell regeneration.
VI Peel Precision Plus
VI Peel Precision Plus combats pigmentation with our Lighten Booster and fast acting Brighten Booster.
This powerhouse formula effectively suppresses melanogenesis and promotes rapid cell turnover for improved skin tone.
This peel is best for skin concerns, such as UV induced pigmentation, sun damage, melasma, and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
These are medium-depth peels, safe for all skin types and safe to use for all Fitzpatrick types I-VI.
Is the VI Peel painful?
Those with sensitive skin may experience a slight tingling sensation, however, most patients find the treatment painless.
How many VI Peel treatments do I need?
Noticeable results can be seen after a single treatment, but we see best results after 3-6 treatments, spaced 3-4 weeks apart. For maintenance treatments after the initial series, we recommend the VI Peel 1-4 times per year, depending on your skin's needs.
What to expect during your appointment?
Your aesthetician will thoroughly cleanse your skin before applying the first layer of the treatment. A few minutes later, another layer of the treatment is applied, and left on the skin for a minimum of five hours. The actual appointment will only take about 30 minutes.
